This Privacy Policy describes how Space Coast Chronicles ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit spacecoastchronicles.com (the "Site") or purchase prints through our gallery.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information needed to operate the Site and respond to inquiries:

• Information you give us: when you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
• Information collected automatically: our hosting provider (Fly.io) logs standard request data including IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, and timestamps. This is used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
• Cookies and local storage: we use browser local storage to remember your dark-mode preference. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. Print Sales & Third-Party Processors

Prints displayed in our archive are sold and fulfilled by SmugMug, Inc. When you click "Order Print" you are redirected to SmugMug's checkout, which is governed by SmugMug's own Privacy Policy and Terms. Payment information, shipping addresses, and order details are collected and processed by SmugMug — not by us. We may receive aggregate sales reports from SmugMug but do not store your payment details.

3. How We Use Information

• To respond to contact-form inquiries and book commissioned work.
• To operate and secure the Site (logs, rate-limiting, abuse prevention).
• To fulfill print orders via SmugMug's platform.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK Visitors)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are: (a) your consent (contact form submissions), (b) performance of a contract (print orders, commissions), and (c) our legitimate interests in operating a secure website.

Contact-form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of the engagement. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. SmugMug retains order records per its own policies.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and the right to deletion; we do not "sell" personal information as defined by the CCPA.

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, hardened hosting) to protect information in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
